Group Discussion Guide // March 17, 2019
Last week we wrapped up our study in Ephesians. We examined how in Christ we are chosen, strong, alive, filled, gifted, decisive and protected. This week in our Groups, take some time to discuss how you saw the Lord work in your life during this study. Revisit some of the discussion questions and discussion guides from the “Battle Ready” series and celebrate with your Group what the Lord did!
1: Read any of the key passages from the “Battle Ready” series and discuss any of them with your Group.
2. Discussion Questions:
1. How did you see God work in your Group through the Ephesians series?
2. How did you see God work in your own life through the Ephesians series?
3. What did you learn about God?
4. In what ways did Ephesians help you trust the Lord better?
In Christ we are chosen, strong, alive, filled, gifted, decisive and protected. Do you understand your identity in Christ in those ways? Ask the Lord to help you grow in your understanding of who He says you are.
4. Commit to Memory:
“But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ…”
5: Things to Know:
Next week, March 24th we begin a new series in Matthew called “The Doubter’s Guide to Jesus.” The first sermon will be from Matthew 7:24-28. Read that passage and begin to think of how Jesus is our teacher.
