I'm Filled: Ephesians 3:14-21

Battle Ready Part 4:
Ephesians 3:14-21

Group Discussion Guide

Sin, no matter how small it is in our eyes, separates us from God who is holy and perfect. Through the blood of Christ though, we are no longer separated and are able to come to the Father. In Jesus, we can be made alive again and saved from our sin.

1. Read Ephesians 3:14-21

"For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family[a] in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen."

2. Questions:

1. What stood out to you in this passage? What does it mean to be filled with all the fullness of God’s life and power?

2. What fills your life, your mind, your heart, and your calendar on a regular basis? Are you happy with what’s filling up your life, or is there something you’d like to change?

3. In what ways do you immerse yourself in God’s love? How are you pursuing Christ day to day?

4. What in your life feels impossible right now? Remember the promise: God can do immeasurably more. How do you need to see what only God can do in your impossible situation?

3. Challenge

Write out this prayer and put it in a place where you’ll see it every day this week. “God, fill me with your Spirit. Fill me with everything that you have for me. Fill me with your love, joy, peace, and power.” Keep track of what God does.

4. Commit to Memory: Ephesians 3:19

“…and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with the fullness of God.”
