On Sunday, August 16, we'd love to invite you to a Local Partner Interest Lunch after the 11 AM service in the Fondren Church Community Center. Lunch will be provided! This is a great opportunity to learn how you can serve alongside two of our local ministry partners: Red Door Jackson and Hope Exchange.
We're especially excited for everyone to meet Terri Thornton, the new Executive Director of Red Door. Terri will share the vision for Red Door and the many ways volunteers can invest in the lives of students and families in our community through mentoring, academic support, and discipleship.
You'll also hear from Levi Gill, Executive Director of Hope Exchange, as he shares how Hope Exchange is serving the families of Red Door students through Christ-centered relationships, practical support, and mercy ministry. This year's emphasis is work and life, equipping participants with practical tools to prepare for and thrive in the workplace. The program includes resume writing, interview preparation, job search strategies, workplace skills, financial wisdom, and ongoing encouragement to help individuals secure and maintain meaningful employment while growing in their relationship with Christ.
Both ministries gather every Tuesday evening at 6 PM. During the lunch, you'll hear what a typical Tuesday looks like, where volunteers are needed, and how your gifts and availability can make a meaningful impact.
Whether you're looking for a place to serve regularly or simply want to learn more about these incredible ministries, this gathering is for you. There is no commitment required; just come, enjoy lunch, hear the vision, ask questions, and explore where God might be leading you to serve.
