Fondren Church

Fondren Church was intentionally placed in the middle of Fondren with the desire to be in the city and for the city. The story of Fondren Church is told through the lives of its people and the Lord’s impact on them. In 2010, while Robert Green was a pastor at Pinelake Church, he and his wife, Susan, felt called to plant a new church. The same year, on a mission trip to Paris, France, Robert and Susan were reminded of their passion for ministry in a city where they could serve in a diverse and urban setting. As a result, they chose to plant a church in the Fondren neighborhood of Jackson, Mississippi.

Fondren Church began in the summer of 2011 with three preview services. The first official service was held in Duling Hall that September, where F/C would meet until 2014. In 2014, as Fondren Church was quickly running out of space and Woodland Hills Baptist Church was in decline, the leadership of both churches met together. It was the hope and prayer of Woodland Hills that their facilities would always remain a church. In 2026, Fondren Church will celebrate 15 years of God’s faithfulness in our church's life.
